I know God is able but is He willing in my case?

Many Christians believe that God is indeed almighty – that he can do anything He wants. He is able to do the miraculous. Yet they are often not sure that He is willing in their case.

Take healing for example. It seems clear from scripture that Jesus (who perfectly revealed and enacted God’s will on earth towards mankind) was both able and willing to heal. Matthew records an instance where a leper approached Jesus believing that He was able to heal and cleanse him of his leprosy, but was not sure of Jesus’ willingness in his case.

Jesus set him and the record straight for all time. Not only was He able but also willing to transform the leper’s life by healing him.

Matthew 8:1-3

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Be assured that your condition is on Jesus’ ‘radar’ too. Right now declare in faith to yourself and God that you believe Jesus is both able and willing to remove whatever affliction you may have.

Thank Him in advance that His hearty towards you has not changed and will not change. He is able and willing.
